Privacy: what the request form collects, and where it goes

Reading this book collects nothing — no account, no payment, no form. This sheet covers the one place you can hand the desk information: the request form.

What the form collects

Your name; a phone number and/or an email address (at least one is required); and the project itself — area or neighbourhood, the home, current siding, the material you are considering, the problem in your words, HOA or historic-district notes, timing, and the summary composed from those answers. That is the whole list.

Where it is stored

A sent request is stored by the Elevation Book desk in its lead store, so the desk can review it, run the per-job contractor check described on the request sheet, and follow up. It is kept on file while the request is live, and after that so a later request from the same household can be matched to it.

Who sees it

The desk. And — only after the per-job check confirms a suitable contractor for your job — that one contractor, who receives your request so they can contact you about an in-person assessment. Your request is not sold, is not auctioned to a call list, and is not shared with anyone for their marketing.

Asking for deletion

This site publishes no email address, so deletion is asked for the same way a request is made: send a new request through the request form, clearly marked as a deletion ask in the problem field (write "Delete my request and my details"), using the same name and phone or email as your original request so the desk can find it. The desk deletes the stored request and confirms through the contact you gave.

The honest limits

This sheet describes how the desk actually handles requests today. If the mechanism changes, this sheet and the request sheet change with it — no page here will keep promising a handling the desk does not perform.
